What is Truth
What is truth is the question many past and present people ask says the Lord but the answer is
right before them.
John 18:38: Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he
had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at
all.
Pilate asked this question of Jesus but notice he did not wait around for Jesus' answer.
Philosopher's have been seeking the answer to what is truth since the beginning of time and they
still have not come up with the answer.
Stop and listen to the many in the world and you will hear that they speak half truths.
Marketing, advertising is built on this percept, telling half truths written in such a way to get people to take an
action like buy their products or accept their half truth messages.
You see this so your quest for the truth takes you to the highest mountain or the
deepest cave to seek the truth and you still do not find it in these places.
You think truth is knowledge, so you go out and fill yourself up with as much knowledge as your
earthly vessel can contain. When you have done this you still find that the answer to your question has not
been answered, it somehow evades you.
Many times you think you have found the truth, then realise the truth still evades you and so
you continue your endless search.
God Almighty spoke these words, 1 Corinthians 1:27: But God hath
chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to
confound the things which are mighty;
The answer is simple and stands before all men upon this earth. John 14:6:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me.
Jesus is the truth, the truth is a person, and to know the truth you need to personally
know Jesus Christ. It is not knoweldge or religion or a culture or a race it is Jesus Christ himself who is
truth.
John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.
The word is also the truth but Jesus is the word and both agree as one so
you may search the entire universe and every mountain and cave, or you may try and soak up every bit of
knowledge contained on this earth but unless you personally know Jesus Christ you will never know what
is the truth of all things.
1 John 4:6: We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is
not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
When we personally know Jesus we are of God and when we do as He commands willingly not because
we have to, then we have the spirit of truth within us and we also know the spirit of error as well.
I, the traveller have been where you have been, seeing and hearing all things and knowing none
of them are the truth. I searched for many a year and none of the things that I came across could or did satisfy
the thirst within me to know what is truth.
Then I meet this Jesus of Nazareth and the answer to my question, what is truth filled me to
overflowing and has become the very centre piece of my spirit, soul and body.
