The First Commandment
As one walks upon this earth, one is faced with many words. If you ask this question of many who
have been lead astray you will find they quote from the Law of God.
Here are two instances of which this question was asked of Jesus.
Mark 12:28-31 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning
together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God
is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none
other commandment greater than these.
Matthew 22:33-40 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his
doctrine. But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered
together.
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master,
which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two
commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Interestingly in neither case did Jesus quote the ten commandments. Again in both cases He also
added the second most important one.
If one does the first / greatest commandment one will find themselves walking / doing the ten
commandments without thought or awareness.
Jesus said this Himself "On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets."
Question here is then why are so many following the scribes and Pharisees of today who are
trying to make those walk according to the laws given unto Moses.
Every sign that has been placed in buildings across this earth that promote the ten laws should
be taken down and replaced with the words that came from Jesus' mouth.
If you try to follow these and break one them you are breaking all of them.
Jesus time and time again calls you to "follow Him" not man or any organisation
or any religion for John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus
Christ.
Walk in the places the Pharisees and scribes are and you will find yourself bound so tightly
that you will shrivel and die within.
If you walk with Him in the grace and truth you will find that life springs up in your life and
it will flow from your belly into those the Lord places across your path.
Also when you walk in God Himself through Jesus Christ you shall love yourself as you shall know
yourself in God Almighty and in this you shall love your neighbour.
