Narrow is the way

After a lengthy walk that seemed to run from days to months and months to years tiredness came upon the traveller.

The Captain of the hosts called unto him, where you have stopped will be a place of rest for you. For in the time that you have stayed in this hidden place I have accomplished much in and through you.

At these words the traveller went to look backwards but was reminded by the Holy Ghost of these words, Philippians 3:13-14: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

As these words flooded his very essence the traveller smiled and sat down right where he had stopped.

As he looked forward he saw a brother in the Lord, long known to him extending his hand of fellowship to him. He knew right then that he would be staying in this place of plenty and peace till he was renewed in strength, health and wealth, for this was a wide place the Lord had brought him to.

On one of the nights that he sat down with the Lord he heard the Lord ask him did he remember the start of his journey? Especially the road he found himself on and how it was virtually empty of fellow travellers.

In hearing this question thoughts flooded his soul and mind. What do you remember were the Lord of Lords words to the traveller?

From within and without the traveller saw himself begin his walk in the distant past. As he watched this picture of himself unfold he was struck by the fact that the way he had chosen was very narrow.

Like a fire that sends a flame into the sky the words sprung from the travellers mouth. The way Lord, the way it is so narrow.

With his face shining like the sun and his eyes so full of love and words that sounded like the thunder in the sky, the Lord said exactly my son.

Many try to walk in the way but because they fail to understand they look back and return to the things of the past therefore they never find life itself.

Matthew 7:13-14: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The way is narrow and it sets you apart from all those walking in the broad place of this world.

You will face many things, trials, tribulations, joy, sadness, anger, sufferings and much more but because you have asked for my wisdom, in all these times you shall have understanding.

Never look back, always press forward, continue in prayer and supplication in all things, including for your brothers and sisters, do as I command not because I command but because of your love for your King and Lord and Savior and you shall see the end of all things I have called you to do.

The deep does indeed call unto the deep were the words the traveller spoke unto the Lord as they continued to speak on this and other matters.
